This blast engineering meeting was focused on the 2020 Beirut port explosion as a complex, urban blast case study.
This two-day meeting included presentations, interactive activities and discussions on topics relating to blast effects in the urban environment, with a focus on identifying blast engineering knowledge gaps, sharing understanding and defining future work that can help to inform disaster responses, protection and mitigation measures.
